The classic sunrise spots are: South Tufa Area (most famous reflections) Navy Beach (clean Sierra backdrop) Old Marina (good if the lake is calm). Mono Lake sunrise can be spectacular because the Sierra Nevada to the west lights up pink before the sun hits the tufas, so the best colors often happen 10–20 minutes before the official sunrise.
